Our Rhinoplasty Techniques

Open Rhinoplasty
Open Rhinoplasty starts with a small incision on the columella, allowing access to reshape the nose’s bone and cartilage. After making corrections, the incision is sutured, leaving a concealed scar that typically fades over time.
Closed Rhinoplasty is used for minor nasal adjustments. Dr. Cohn begins by making small incisions inside each nostril for access. After necessary corrections, incisions are closed with dissolvable sutures. While it avoids visible scarring, not all patients qualify due to limited access.
Skilled Rhinoplasty surgery can yield great results. However, patients with prior surgeries may not always achieve desired outcomes. Revision Rhinoplasty, or Secondary Rhinoplasty, is considered more complex due to heightened patient expectations, posing challenges for surgeons to meet specific results.
Male Rhinoplasty preserves a strong, prominent nose with a less rotated tip for harmony with masculine features. Dr. Cohn employs a specialized approach considering unique male nasal features like width, tip angle, and facial structure, ensuring comprehensive results.
Dr. Cohn offers tailored Rhinoplasty procedures to accommodate the diverse needs of our Long Island patients, respecting their ethnic identity. Ethnic Rhinoplasty addresses nasal flaws for non-Caucasian individuals, enhancing size, shape, and symmetry while preserving unique beauty and heritage.
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty, also known as Liquid Rhinoplasty, offers a minimally invasive solution for minor contour deformities using fillers. Temporary effects make it ideal for individuals not yet ready for surgery or seeking quick fixes for events like weddings or graduations. The procedure, performed in-office, takes about 45 minutes, with a few days needed for the filler to settle. Dr. Cohn can advise if this option suits your needs.
